The Performing Arts Academy is a stage school in Celbridge which focuses on the three disciplines of the arts; Sing, dancing and acting. Here s what's on offer at the PAA:
Our terms are 10 weeks long and run alongside school terms, taking midterms and holidays when they take them.
TOTS: (age 4-6) 50 minutes per week.
Our tots class is 50 minutes long. The first 25 minutes is dance, movement and song. The class finishes with more drama based games and exercises focusing on self esteem, communication skills and confidence building. A lot of what we do in class will be used in our end of year show in June.
JUNIORS/INTERS/SENIORS (age 7-17) 2 hours per week.
DANCE
We teach a wide variety of styles of dance, including Jazz, Modern and Hip-hop. Alongside learning routines to todays latest hits and broadway classics alike, we teach technique in execution.
DRAMA
Our classes are a fun-filled, performance based practical workshops. We teach improv technique, audition prep and script breakdown with texts.
SINGING
Our singing workshops involve teaching correct singing technique, correct breathing and using the vocal chords properly and safely.
Our 10 week term is mainly 1 hour of dance followed by 1 hour of drama with a few weeks set aside each term for our singing coach to come in for workshops.
